NSS CELL
NSS is a scheme under sport and youth affairs Ministry of Indian Government in under to boost the youth to serve society which make the country a unity in diversity.
It was stablished in 1969 and at present more 4 million youth and engaged in this mission. The motto of NSS is “NOT ME BUT YOU”. It aimed to fulfill the need serve of the youth and students in all round development.
The NSS unit Simen Chapari College was stablished in the year 2016. Dr. Jiban Buragohain was the founder P.O. Under his energetic leadership, the unit had completed two special camps and a numbers of regular activities.
From September 2022, Mr. Gopal Tamuli, assistant Professor, Department of Education, has taken the responsibility of P.O and trying to forward the unit in a dynamic way. Presently, the unit has 117 volunteers including 44 male and 73 female.
