Simen Chapari College has been in venture stage from the year of its establishment in 1994 till the provincialisation by the Govt.of Assam with effect from 01-01-2013. All the constructional works and quality enhancement activities have been done under the able guidance and supervision of the Governing body of the college and the members of the college Academic Board.
Even after the date of Provincialisation, the works have been carried out smoothly in cooperation with the Governing Body and the senior teachers. It is only on 12-09- 2016 that the Internal Quality Assurance Cell has been formed to institutionalize best practices in an organized manner with integrated approach. Strategies have been proposed for carrying out activities to improve the academic and administrative performance of the college.
Since then the IQAC has been made functional for creating a better educational environment at the college through Learner- centered approach. Due attention has been paid for all- round development of the Students through the organization of Seminar, workshops,group discussion, and other curricular co-curricular activities. Information with respect to the Students performance and the quality enhancement processes are disseminated among parentsand guardians from time to time. Documentation of different programs are also organised for the Students to provide value education. Even after certain trails and tribulations, the college has not been able to invite NAAC for its accreditation due to the shortages of infrastructural faculties and other co-related resources.
And now, the new body of the IQAC is formulated on 2022 and is assigned to be instrumental in fulfilling the needs for inviting the NAAC for its assessment and accreditation apart from giving due importance to the quality enhancement.
